How a presentation comes together…
Depending on its importance and the time available there can be three main considerations for each presentation.
First, clarity and structure
Without a crystal-clear message and a logical path to deliver that message presentations are often fatally damaged right from the start. I help many of my clients establish a single thread or “through line”. This will allow them to lead their audience from a powerful beginning to logical and practical take-aways and finally to a clear call to action.
Second, visuals that match a number of needs
There are multiple parameters that determine how the visuals are created. Knowledge of the audience is a critical foundation. As is the skill and comfort level of the presenter. Add to that mix the message to be delivered and the goals to be accomplished.
Often logical compromises must be made, but the best presentations are a skillful blend that satisfy all aspects of the offering.
Finally, smart practice makes everything work together
Years of working with seasoned professionals and high-level executives have taught me their secret weapon: practice. As a result, I have created a simple but powerful smart practice system that helps presenters at any skill level rehearse their material, finetune their words, structure and delivery and ultimately build their confidence.
Coaching and one-on-one practice time is built into every one of my projects.
It’s not for every presentation
If your upcoming presentation is critical to you or your organization or if you want to elevate your abilities and your message far ahead of your competition, I would encourage you to connect.
